Why not join David Hughes to understand the mysteries of the stars and planets in a recording of one of the award-winning WEA member lectures.
Modern Astronomy is full of big words, big ideas and big telescopes. David will show you how to start exploring the night sky with little more than your own eyes (and a big overcoat). Using a series of easy to find constellations as guideposts to the wonders beyond, we’ll show you how and when to look for the major planets and star clusters, why the Moon changes its appearance every month and how to spot objects like the International Space Station as it passes overhead. No big words. No complicated mathematics. Just the perfect introduction to a life changing view of the Universe.
Once you’ve watched the lecture, if you want to find out more, WEA membership costs just £15 a year, including a lecture every week covering a wide range of topics. Learn more.
